    Double SMaSH

Do you have enough equipment that we can stagger the process (while brew 1 is boiling, can we steep brew 2)? I am bringing my equipment to do a citra ale extract kit; are we crazy trying a Triple Brew Day? [emoji12]

Flavor Addition Suggestions to a Golden Ale

Thanks for the feedback, mdindy. In regards to fruit- I was driving down the road and saw inspiration on a billboard. What about mangos soaked in tequila? I figure I could cut & peel the mangoes and me them soak overnight. If I went this route, when should I add it, after boil?

Flavor Addition Suggestions to a Golden Ale

Howdy All, Well I have a double brew day coming up next weekend and we can't wait! My buddy will be brewing an all grain recipe, and in the in-between time I will be brewing an extract recipe. We're a fun pair- he is the precise, calculated recipes and I am the mad scientist, "let's give...

Cider Newbie (yeah one of those)... Opinions gladly needed

Great info; thanks for your responses guys! So it seems that I need to decide weather I want to back sweeten OR carb (I am bottling b/c I cannot keg). So if I back sweeten, what about this- at the end of the secondary, could I add Potassium sorbate to help stop the yeast & fermentation. Then...

Cider Newbie (yeah one of those)... Opinions gladly needed

Hello All, I have been homebrewing and winemaking for about 3 years, but this is my first go at cider. I have been reading info and how-to's both here and elsewhere to get ideas how to start. And of coarse, my local HBS (Keystone Homebrew, yey!) But I wanted to run my plan out loud, and...

Sounds tasty and you know I will be happy to give you a hand. The offer to bring a "mystery ingredient" is still there. And since I am your apprentice unfortunately I can't offer much advice other than "Relax; have a Homebrew". Those I can bring :-)

If you could have any object turned into a tap handle, what would it be?

It is probably not that original, but hockey stick blades would be cool. And for all you paintball enthusiasts, you could use different marker barrels with barrel plugs for the top of the taps.

best way to remove labels from recycled bottles

I use Oxiclean (perfume free) and have had great results. The labels literally peel off with no or little work in the water overnight and you can wipe off the extra adhesive with a sponge. Then wash the bottles in the dishwasher, no soap, on sanitize mode with steam and pull them right from the...

Starsan still good after blowout tube...?

Ok so quick question. I did a cherry beer and knew it was going to have a lot of action with the yeast, so I hooked up a blowoff/blowout tube to my primary. However instead of putting the end of tube in a bowl of StarSan, I just put the hose in my main 5 gal. bucket of StarSan. There doesn't...
