    Cream Stout Help

Thanks hopsalot. I haven't done any research on adding vanilla yet. This will only be my third batch so I'm still new. You have any thoughts or experience with using vanilla bean or vanilla extract?

    2nd batch questions/thoughts

Update on the Amber Apple. My wife just called and said it has started bubbling. Pitched the yeast yesterday about 4:30pm and it started bubbling today about 8:30am, so about 16 hours to start fermenting.

    2nd batch questions/thoughts

Great minds think a-like. The next beer I'm going to try is a porter with vanilla as well. Was even thinking of adding some chocolate and raspberries too. Going to have to research that one a bit before I start. Thank you for your reply.

    Amber beer & Cider

I will look up graff and read what I can on it. I can get fresh cider with no preservatives and has been pasturized so i should be ok there. And yes with the cinnamon in it i was thinking this could make a nice beer for the fall.

Body rejecting beer!!! Leaning towards low ABV (session) beers

Wow i'm lucky. As I get older (41) I'm going in the opposite direction. I can drink beer all day and all night long. Wake up the next morning and never feel like I had a drink the day before. When I was in college the next day hangovers killed me for days. Hangovers had me hating life to...

My idea is to do a regular batch like you would any other kit only instead of topping off my 3 gallons of wort with water I would like to use 2 gallons of apple cider to make 5 gallons. Anyone ever tried this or heard of it...

Hello everyone. Sunday I brewed my first batch of beer! Everything seemed to go fine except one crucial detail. I could never get my wort up to 212 degrees (5 gallon SS pot - 3.5 gallons of water). I used two thermometers, one digital and one floating. The digital read 210.5 and the...
