    How do I calculate OG when adding sugar mid ferment?

    I brewed an Imperial Stout with some friends. The OG came out at 1.096, lower than we wanted, so after it was nearly finished fermenting, we decided to add 1.25 pounds of sugar to raise the alcohol some. It's a 10 gallon batch. How do I figure what the OG would be with the extra sugar? Thanks...

    Peanuts in a randall vs head retention?

    I was wondering if anyone knows if the oil in peanuts would cause a loss of head retention. I made a chocolate peanut butter imperial stout with PB2, and it's very good, but I want more peanut flavor.     ABV question

    I bottled an Imperial Black Ale yesterday. When I strained the hops and transferred to the bottling bucket, I only had 4.25 gallons at 9.7% ABV. I wanted more beer than that, so I added 1 gallon of distilled water with the priming sugar. How do I figure the ABV after dilution?
