Kentucky 3 Tier Brewstand + kettle, burner, etc.

I built this about two years ago when I switched to AG, it's very solid and has been kept in the garage. Movers recently broke my homemade HLT beyond repair, which I'm using as an excuse to upgrade the whole system. Asking $150 for the stand itself. Also for sale: - Blichmann BoilerMaker...

    Commercial keg foaming

Thanks for the suggestions. I may have jumped the gun with my post, as the stream seems to have abated. 14psi is about right given the length of line I'm using. Based on the height of my system, my other taps all have 12' of beer line.

    Commercial keg foaming

Just hooked up a 1/6 barrel of Sierra Nevada Torpedo, and I'm noticing a constant stream of bubbles rising up from the coupler (visible in picture). It's currently at 14psi. I did purge the keg before pressurizing with my line. Am I just underpressurizing it?

    Cooler HLT wiring problem?

Thanks for the replies. It is on a GFCI outlet. The element admittedly looks puny in there, but it got 8.5 gallons to 170 degrees in less than an hour, so I'm satisfied with it. It's 1500W/120V.

    Cooler HLT wiring problem?

I built a HLT using a rectangular cooler, installing a hot water heating element in the side. No visible leaks anywhere (nice tight fits + high-temp silicone caulk). I'm using it this morning for the first time. However, electricity scares me. Now that the system is plugged in and heating...

    Danger of Hops to Dogs

Can anyone provide a link to the full text of the 1997 article? I'm an anesthesiologist, and MH is more or less the bogeyman in my field.

    CO2 buildup in line

Thanks for the replies! I do have a fan in my keezer, so temperature probably isn't the issue. As for the regulator, I wasn't sure how high to set it since the keg was already carbonated, so I just dialed in enough psi to keep pushing the beer out - no more than about 5 psi. I'll crank it...

    CO2 buildup in line

I'm having an issue with a 1/6 barrel of commercial brew with a keg coupler on it - I'm getting CO2 building up in the line between the coupler and the faucet. It results in a pretty foamy first pour of the day, and if I let it go a few days between pours I get a couple inches of nothing but...

    Brass faucets

Awesome! Thanks so much for the advice. I'm using a black chest freezer with a deep reddish-brown stained collar, and was hoping to use exposed brass bolts and (now) faucets.

    Brass faucets

I am new to kegging, and am currently assembling all the necessary parts. I'm also building a keezer, and for aesthetic reasons am planning on using tarnish-free brass faucets (by Perlick). These would be the only brass parts in the setup. Is there a significant risk of off flavors with these...
