    Brewing with whole corn instead of flaked corn

    I was interested in using whole corn instead of flaked (fresher, cheaper). I must have been drinking pretty good one night, but I swear I read an article or PDF on using whole corn in a classic American pilsner. Can anyone steer me where to look for something on the subject? Thanks!

    What the *&^@#% is that floating?

    Hi all, need some help. I'm fermenting a lager @ 50. I cracked the lid on the bucket today, and there's white flakes floating in it, real nasty looking. I've read some other posts and they describe little white flakes are actually yeast colonies, but there's nothing little about what I got...
