    Another newbie stopped/slowed fermentation question

I just wanted to thank everyone again and deliver an update. I've been letting the RIS sit for a few more days and I've not heard one more bubble for several days. (I know, I know) Well, today I decided to just take a gravity reading to see where I am at. It has been 5 days and I've dropped from...

    Another newbie stopped/slowed fermentation question

I plan on doing 5 one gallon batches of mead that way I can test and figure which styles I like instead of getting stuck with 5 gallons I dont like and have to start all over. Once I move the RIS to my secondary I will look into another beer. Im still learning.

    Another newbie stopped/slowed fermentation question

OK, I just made my first brew. It was the Russian Imperial Stout kit by Brewer's Best. I had some vigorous fermentation that clogged and blew off my airlock within 24 hrs. I swapped my airlock for a blowoff tube that goes into a gallon jug with a little beach in the water. The bubbling continued...

    New Brewer from Central Louisiana

Thanks guys. I actually lived in Denham from 93-04 until the military thought I would like the Leesville area better.

    New Brewer from Central Louisiana

Hello All. I am a brand new brewer (in fact, I am still waiting on my equipment to arrive.) and have already been lurking in this forum regularly thanks to google. I figured it was time to join and begin learning how to brew. I am from Leesville, Louisiana and am willing to take advice from any...
