    Curiosity about spent grains

A lot of breweries send their spent grains to be used as feed for livestock. I know that Harpoon in Boston does this, they mentioned it during the tour

best beer you have ever tasted

I agree with the idea that the experience matters just as much as the beer itself. After my freshman year of college, and drinking Milwaukee's best and keystone light all year, a friend of mine and I split a six pack of yuengling. I have had it since, and it tastes like a normal mass produced...

    Westvleteren 12 US Release

That's probably true, unfortunately. My plan was to go the first day it's available and hopefully get some. I guess the bright side is that it'll taste better after aging for a year!

    Westvleteren 12 US Release

Has anyone heard any news about the Westvletern 12 US release? I heard that it was pushed back to September back in June, but since September has come and gone, I was wondering if there was any updates from Shelton Brothers or the abbey itself.

This same exact thing happened to me with my last batch. I didn't check to see if everything was held together tightly, and the hose popped off in the middle of my chill. It's still in the primary after 2.5 weeks and no infection, I'm transferring to secondary soon. Hopefully everything turns...

Are all non-twist bottles safe for bottling?

Magic hat bottles are great, the labels slide right off in hot water and there is no raised lettering

Noob question Keggle and burner! Help!

I have the same burner and use a keggle, just put a spare grill or oven rack over the burner and put the keggle on top. Make sure you don't need the rack for anything else, it will warp from the heat!

Easy label removal on what beers?

+1 to the Sam Adams bottles, the labels slide right off after a little soak. Harpoon, on the other hand, are impossible to get the labels off of, I stopped saving these after my first soak session

I'm planning on making the Number 8 Belgian Strong AG kit from Northern Brewer this weekend: http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/review/product/list/id/3294/category/154/ I was reading around, and I couldn't seem to find a consensus on what to do when bottling. I read that some people...
