    Freezer size for Fermentation

    Great thread. I was jus thinking of going to fridge or freezer for fermenting. The temp in the valley jus jumped to 80 and I turned on the ac in house to keep the room I use at 70.

    I started with a five gallon kit, then I got a mr. Beer as a gift. First batch was good. Now I plan on making a five gallon batch and the mr beer as a different beer to follow. That way I always have home brew ready! The best of both worlds!

    it fermented for 2 weeks. i checked the gravity at start of the 2 weeks then at bottling, it seemed done fermenting. i added the sugar to the bottling bucket with about 2 inches of brew in it then siphoned the rest from the carboy. i used pre packaged sugar for 5 gal from store.     My second batch has been in bottles for 2 weeks. Blonde ale recipe from a local brew supply store. I chilled a couple overnight and tried them out. Taste is good but a lot of foam, like its over carbonized? when i pour the bottle in a pint glass half full it foams almost the other half of pint...

    First batch was a hit!

    I brewed my first batch at the end of june. It was great, called it "whicked wheat". My friends want me to try a light beer next. I think i like the dark more than them but i give it a shot. :mug:
