    Flavor change after bottled?

    Is there any way to see if the beer is carbonating in the bottle with out cracking one open? I'm just afraid all the yeast might have died off 'cause I let it sit in the secondary for an extra week (total of 3 weeks in secondary). Could that harm it in any way?

    I use OneStep. I fill the carboy up with 2 or 3 gals. of water with 2 or 3 Tbl Spoons of OneStep and then lay it on it's side. Every minute or so, I'll rotate the carboy till it's all good.     I would have never thought about it being bubbles. They looked small, but solid. But I guess a group of tiny bubbles could appear to be solid. Hopefully it all tastes fine in the end! Sorry for the double post! Does anyone know what yeast looks like in a fermenter?

    So, if I understand this right, the beer should be done fermenting before I rack to my secondary? I only thought you took an SG when you first transfer the wort to the primary, and then take the FG right before you rack to bottles (well, 3 times on 3 days) to ensure it's done fermenting...
