I have a one gallon carboy of strawberry wine that i started over a year ago, i looked at it the other day and found some white crap mixed in the water of the airlock, is this wine ruined?

Can this be made in a carboy, or should a bucket primary be used?

Exactly two weeks ago i started my firest mead, its a one gallon batch. Today i racked to a clean carboy and took a gravity reading of 1.070 . I had a small taste, it was sweet but damn good.

The recipe says to pour the liquids into the secondary ( glass carboy) and now it has about a inch and a half of sediment and no action in the air lock. Did i ruin this batch or...

In many of jacks recipes he says to pour all liquids from the primary to the secondary, does he mean to just pour the one into the other or use a siphon tube to rack?

I have looked at several recipes for a one gallon batch, including Jack Kellers... all say to add the yeast but do not say how. Should i sprinkle the yeast in the primary or activate it in a small bowl?

I am looking to do a one gallon mead, i am not interested in doing a JOAM at the moment but would like a simple one gallon recipe. Is a bucket primary needed or can you just go straight to a carboy?

Whats the easiest way to bottle Apfelwein?
