    Houston, We Have A Problem.

Get yourself two sacks of pilsner and go to town on all things Belgian. :rockin:

    Book And A Beer

That's awesome Brewsmith, sounds like it was a good n' relaxing day. I've read the book as well and found it to be a nice, easy, and interesting read.

What's with all the Sierra Nevada Pale hate?

The club you speak is the one that informed me it was quite tasty. :D I didn't know she wasn't involved anymore though, good to know.

What's with all the Sierra Nevada Pale hate?

Anytime Lars. Just doing my part to spread the word for the new guys. That new bar of yours looks like a local beer extravaganza. I should stop in there myself sometime. I forgot to mention The Great Beer Company and their Hollywood Blonde Kolsch style ale. I've never had it, but I've heard...

Going to California and will have a lot of time and brain cells to kill.

Their slogan is "Conceived in San Francisco and Brewed in New York". Jeremy Cowan has a contract with Olde Saratoga Brewing in NY to make all the Schmaltz Brewing Company brews.

What's with all the Sierra Nevada Pale hate?

Sorry to go off topic a bit, but I don't think it's as barren a wasteland as many think. Skyscraper Brewing Angel City Brewing The Bruery (Ok it's Orange County, but it's a quick drive and damn fine beer) Bootlegger's Brewery(Still Orange County, but close enough) Craftsman Brewing...

What's with all the Sierra Nevada Pale hate?

Yeah, I think brewery count isn't the only discerning factor for me. The homebrew club/shop availability and pub selection hasn't given me a reason to complain. Also, so many breweries are within a stone's throw of LA, at least in terms of distribution (especially San Diego), that I've been more...

What's with all the Sierra Nevada Pale hate?

I don't understand this at all.

    Coheed and Cambria

That sounds like my C&C story as well. I just picked up the Neverender box set (drunken online purchase) and it is awesome. I haven't quite convinced myself that the thing is worth the $110 price tag, but it's awesome to see every song in order. Their live sound/performance really blew me...

    Anti-Science in show "Eleventh Hour"

Clearly the writers of that show aren't fans of Carl Sagan.

Looking to Buy an All Grain Set

I recommend the Brewmation. Nothing like a three sink all electric set up. ;) Just kidding. You can try brewd00d. I know some people who have gotten their tuns from him and have been very pleased.

New Metallic Glass: Future Fermenter Material

Bill Johnson has a spin off company he co-founded in Southern California called Liquidmetal Technologies. They already make golf clubs with bulk metallic glasses, why not some carboys?

AHA Rally 3/21/2009 Stone Brewing & World Bistro

Bump. It's this Saturday, nobody else is going?

    Kegerator Noises

No more Rice Krispies in the kegger. The only thing that usually makes any noise is when the compressor kicks on/off, but other then that, nada.

    Green Flash Brewery...

I went down last Sunday only to find out they're closed on Sundays. However, their bottling line repair guy was there and let me in to walk around and take a peak inside. They've got a lot of equipment fixed into a little industrial space, it's pretty impressive how much quality beer they churn...

Feedback please, Club Business Card Designs

At least you know it's strong stuff if you're getting the XXX kind of booze. I like the first one too, but that's probably because business cards are ingrained in my brain to be horizontal. Did you think about trying the cap from the third in the location of the whale on the first card?

Going to California and will have a lot of time and brain cells to kill.

Don't forget about 21st Amendment. If you can get her to settle on going to Sonoma you could hit Russian River in Santa Rosa as well.

AHA Rally 3/21/2009 Stone Brewing & World Bistro

I found the majority of the details listed on Stone's website. Any other takers?

    Sub for Vienna?

I say use some Munich and call it a dirty blond. You might be onto a new CBC brew.
