    Stepped Up Yeast Starter (Yeast Cake Size)

    I did my first stepped up starter...had a little blow off on second step. I put it in the fridge...should the yeast cake be larger than after the first step? I did a 1.25l first step and 2l second step.

    I have a 2L flask, I expect to decant and the yeast cake will still be at the bottom of that flask. When I make the new wort, can I pour the wort into the flask ontop of the yeast? I would imagine it doesn't matter.
