Well, it appears to fermenting nicely at about 60° with a nice krausen about 3/4 inch thick. I hope it turns out good!

Well, I did my brew yesterday. Everything came off without a hitch! Almost had a boil over but I shot that back down with a water spritzer. Took a hydrometer reading of 1050, should have been 1052. I'm guessing that's close enough. I drank what was in the test jar and it tasted pretty damn good!

Matte finishes are pretty easy to apply. The chalkboard paint would be a really cool idea. Write it really big so no one has an excuse for not knowing what they're drinking!

Don't worry about priming the surface. Just give it a decent sanding to give the new paint a good surface to adhere to. What kind of finish are you going for?

I was delivering a load of can ends to a Coca Cola plant today. They had what looked to be enough corny kegs to fill five 53 foot trailers solid! They were just sitting out in the open on skids wrapped up with stretch wrap... They wouldn't let me have any... What a bummer. :(
