^^^^^this! It makes a tasty English IPA and while I agree with many of the other statements, I think many should try their normal WCIPA recipe and substitute the yeast with Verdant and I think you'll be happy with it.

Well, it took a full 3 days but I am finally seeing the starter take off. Most beers are almost finished by this time but, if I've learned one thing about homebrewing, it's that nothing is ever the same. Hopefully, it'll be faster when it meets Mr. Wort!

I kegged today and have to say, the aroma was pretty damn enjoyable. Hard to tell the outcome at this point but my FG was lower than I wanted so it's a tad dry. Not a big deal. Looking forward to this one!

Certainly that makes more sense and opinions vary but I have read elsewhere, a number of people who thought it's use as a single hop was lacking. These weren't SMaSH beers but using only Nectaron. However, I do have a pretty simple recipe I use whenever I want to try a single hop and I may do...

I have some Citra LupoMax I thought would work well and I do want to keep it simple but I also have some Eclipse from Australia I've not tried yet. Might be futile using that with Nectaron if I really want to know what it brings to the beer.

Well, Star Party is a chico yeast so it might be best to use US05 of equal. I'm not sure I'd want to add more thiol at this time but who knows. Maybe try some yeast nutrient and see if that moves it along.

I switched to Brewfather over a year ago and moved all my recipes there. I think both are good (as are another 1 or 2) but this just works best for me.

Sorry for the thread side hack but, I'm new to the Might Mill 3 and am curious what gap you guys are using and are happy with. Certainly YMMV and I'll play around but I'd like to hear what gap makes you happy.
