    Thanks for all the advice - been using sodium percarbonate for years and never knew! :oops: Sounds like I've got my marching orders: replace tubing, deep clean, order some proper sanitizer. I do use a plastic bottling bucket, but the spigot gets disassembled and components cleaned individually...

    Honestly I'm not sure what caused the rapid infestation - I've been brewing with this setup for +/-10 years without a hitch.     Hi folks, New to the forums and brewing. We've had a couple of friends get into brewing in the past few years so the wife and I finally took the plunge. Looking forward to getting our hands dirty and making some beer! :mug:
