I have a Chocolate Raspberry and Irish Red fermenting currently and doing an Oatmeal Stout next weekend. :-)

    Coffin Keezer w/ Linear Actuator

Thanks. Getting 1/6 barrels isn't bad at all. The full keg goes in fairly easy empty... but would be a pita full and heavy. Should take a picture from the side. It's open quite a bit... that might not have been fully open with the actuator. It's wired to a rocker switch so I can just open...

    Coffin Keezer w/ Linear Actuator

I used an actuator on my SW fishtank years ago and planned on using an extra one I bought. I think I would have added a bit more support if I thought it would be as heavy as it was using steel bar. Here is a pic of the fish tank when I put it in 2008

    Coffin Keezer w/ Linear Actuator

Back of coffin with all insulation in I layered the insulation so i could have cut out for the fan and then the gas lines seperately insulated. Next layer on The final layer was just a square and then a vertical pice that went over shanks with .5" clearance so air could flow...

    Coffin Keezer w/ Linear Actuator

I would like to thank everyone for all the quality threads and posts on Coffin Keezer’s. I have read a ton of them to make sure that I had a decent idea what I was doing! Hopefully this is one more thread that inspires someone. This project took me 4 weeks start to finish once I started...

    OG and Volume Question

Alright - seen / read as many threads on OG and volume that I could find but have a quick question. I have a refractometer and when I put distilled water on it...reads a perfect 0. So assuming it's calibrated correctly. I've done 2 kit's in the last week (getting beer ready for a 3-tap...

Bev Seal Ultra and Barb Fittings

I have read every thread I can find on this stuff. After attempting heat guns, boiling water, combination of the two, etc.... I have easily attempted to put the 1/4" barb fitting on the 3/16" hose 50+ times. Finally, I was able to get consistent and get the barbs roughly half way (majority of...

Keezer Fan - 10.2 cu ft

First... I have read countless posts on Keezers and coffins. Thanks for all the great knowledge. Have a couple specific questions to my build. Ordering parts soon. Plan on using a 10.2 cu ft freezer... no intention of adding a collar. 1. I'm thinking that having 2 fans on the coffin...

    Keezer Budget (coffin style)

I have read a ton of threads and appreciate all of the quality posts out there. Trying to put a fairly accurate budget (if anything, inflated) for a keezer build with 3 taps and a 4th C02 line for a reserve. Trying to capture everything up front... let me know if I missed anything. Thanks!!

    First Brew Fermenting - Questions???

Thanks for the responses. So, based on some additional reading and your comments, it sounds like it would be best to determine roughly where the 5 gallon mark on my kettle is above the ball valve and add water towards the end of the boil to achieve a better OG. I guess that's one of the major...

    First Brew Fermenting - Questions???

Hello, This is my first post after reading a ton of great threads on this forum. Overall things went fairly well for my first batch but I definately feel somewhat uneasy and had some questions on "what should I have done". I have a 8 gallon MoreBeer Kettle w/ ball valve and IC. Brewing...
