I have found that you have to stir the mash alot and I pull hot liquid from the bottom and pour into the top (I do this because I don't have a pump yet). Do this until temps even out throughout the mash. Hope this helps Later.....TangleFoot-out

I am electric and use a 15.5 gal Keggle. My bag is big enough to fold over the outside of the keg. I also have a false bottom screen over my heating elements to keep the bag and the weight off of the element. I don't have a pump yet but would really like to get one for recirculation to help...

Took a couple 3/8"nuts, ground down to fit the brass, soldered together, then soldered into the brass. Kinda fits the theme of the ManCave:D Later........TangleFoot-out

pvtschultz.......looks like we've both have had the some problems. I have brewed a couple light batches with 60 minute boils with no problems, but I tried a heavier german weizzen type with a longer boil and I could faintly start to smell a scorch come on so I shut it off at about 75-80 minutes...
