    Beergas balancing?

Hey all, I have a beergas and stout tap (krome) combo I am trying to use for my stouts, but I always get a glass full of foam. Even after the glass sits, I end up with a 4" head that wont go down. On the first pour, I usually get straight beer for a few seconds before the foam comes out of...

Beer gas - Co2 tank vs Nitrogen tank

When adding my stout facuct I called around to gas distributers in my area. I was suprised that some would only fill CO2 tanks, and some would only fill nitrogen tanks. So I did some research on the topic and here is what I found: Tanks: I looked at the specs for both tanks made by the...

Guide to set internal chest freezer thermostat to >32F; Eliminate external control

The Haier 7.1 has two screws. One is a small screw, almost jewelers size on the same side as the wires. The other is hidden under a sticker on the underside of the control and looks like the correct adjustment in the other photos. I am not sure what the small screw does, if anything...

Haier 7.1 cu ft freezer for $175 at Costco

So I was able to fit 4 ball lock kegs and two 10 pound tanks in this with a 2x4 collar. 5 pound tanks would likely not need the collar. It was tight, but it works. :rockin: -Space

Small refrigerator to fit 6.5 gal carboy?

Awesome, thanks! The chest freezer idea would be great if not for the fact I have no room :) I will try the 30+wine fridge out. Any particular brand/model I should be looking for? -Space

Small refrigerator to fit 6.5 gal carboy?

I do not have a basement or a good location in my home to keep the fermentation temps under control come summer. Does anyone know of a refridgerator that will fit a 6.5 gallon carboy? I would prefer one powered by thermoelectric rather than compressor, but with the luck I have been having, at...

    Beer gas to dispense ales?

That makes sense. I will have to try to fit a paintball canister in the fridge and go with two separate batches. -Space

    Beer gas to dispense ales?

Would that not apply to the stout as well tho? I thought the reason for the high PSI was the lower volume of CO2 in the beer gas. Very confused! -Space

    Beer gas to dispense ales?

What about a flow control faucet on the ale with beer gas at 38psi? I sure would love to be able to dispense both an ale and a stout with the same gas! Looking at the creamer faucets in the mean time :) -Space

    Beer gas to dispense ales?

I am building a keg setup in one half of my kitchen fridge. I understand that in order to dispense a stout through a stout tap I would need beer gas set at about 38psi. I can only fit one gas canister and two kegs in my fridge and I want to keep an ale and a stout on tap at the same time. So...

What is causing my low OG?

Relatively new to brewing and have been coming across a problem sometimes while extract brewing. I boil 2.5 gallons in a kit, and when I add enough water to get to 5 gallons, I get an OG lower than the recipe called for. My most recent example is an India Black Ale: Original Gravity per...
