I made a starter yesterday the intention of brewing today. My kit didn't have the grains ground or a mesh bag so I have to get that stuff taken care of tomorrow and I won't be able to brew until Tuesday. Can I let the starter just sit out?

So I finished brew #3, Northern Brewer's Dunkelweizen. The instructions have an OG of 1.053 and I ended up with 1.06. So what did I do wrong? What should I expect? Thanks.
The cider recipe was one my friend used first. He found it on the Mother Earth News website. I opted for the Honey instead of Brown Sugar with a second fermentation.

After a successful first batch and then a cider batch (which turned out really good) I have finally gotten to batch 2, Northern Brewer's Chinook IPA. All went well yesterday and this morning there was fermentation. Tonight after work I went down and there was the Krausen flowing like crazy...
Sorry I haven't been good at posting any progress, but I did want to say we just finished bottling the first batch: Northern Brewer's Mild Ale. We are plotting out our next recipe and will keep you posted on what we try. Thanks, Todd
Quick update... Wednesday was brew evening. Everything went just as planned and 3 hours after starting we were done. Woke up the next morning to nothing happening, but by the time we got home from work the yeast had kicked in.
Thanks for the fast response. Greatly appreciated! I am starting out simple with Northern Brewer's Mild Ale. But as long as that appears to be working, I will step it up a bit fairly quickly I would guess.
