    Saison Cottage House Saison

3 sounds good. It's at 1.004 now down from 1.062, I might get another point or 2 out of it. Any recommendations as to how long to keep it at 90?

    Saison Cottage House Saison

I brewed this up 8 days ago as my first Saison and just had a taste, it is phenomonal. I never used caramunich before but I like the maltiness it added. I brewed it as posted except added honey at flameout, subbed EKG for Fuggles and used the Belle Saison yeast. I pitched at 68, let rise to...

American Porter Bee Cave Brewery Robust Porter

I brewed this up a few weeks ago and just bottled half of it. I put 2.5 gallons on 1 oz light oak chips soaked in enough Makers Mark to cover them. It sat on the chips with 4 oz MM as well for 1 week. The other 1.5 will be untweaked and 1 gallon will be NA. It should be interesting to say the...

    What are you drinking now?

Flying Dog's Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout. The oysters give it a nice creaminess, overall a nice low abv stout.

It's looking like I'll be brewing this tomorrow. I've been eyeing this for a while now, it was a question of getting my resources together. Anyway I'm going to do 5 gallons approximately broken up as such: 1 gallon NA (father-in-law is on the wagon) 1.5 normal 2.5 with Bourbon soaked oak...

Questions About Yeast Harvesting From Commercial Beers

How long do you guy let each step stay on the stirplate for? I'm just building mine now but I'm trying to pick up all the information I can. Is it the standard 12 - 18 hours, then refrigerate/decant?

    What are you drinking now?

The same thing happened with our Caribou Slobber kit from NB. 6 weeks in and it really picked up in body, we were surprised. Planning on ripping into our 10th Anniversary Ruination tonight, looking forward to it.

    American IPA Hopslam Clone

I think I've heard people having success with Bell's Amber. I'm just now building a stirplate and wondering what your process is for stepping up, if you don't mind. How many times, how many ml? I'm really looking forward to brewing this one.
