Should I use Teflon tape to seal my element into one of Brewhardware'ss triclamp enclosures? Would it affect the grounding of the element?

I'm going to use stainless steel 1/2 inch hose barbs in my set up with a plate chiller and march pump. Will thermoplastic hose easily slide on and off the barb for set up and take down? Would silicone be easier? I'm planning on hose clamps for tight connections. Thanks.
