This is a crosspost stolen from my original thread over at Canadian Homebrewers. I thought some of you might like to see what I have created! I love this rig. It was a HERMS, but I wasn't overly happy with the lag with that system, and I really enjoyed some of the steam posts I've seen here...

Quick question, this was my first double batch (10gal)... just a nice easy pale ale. I had to baby sit it in my 23gal e-kettle to keep it from foaming over. It was foamy the entire boil. What causes this? I fermented it a week, smells like rotten eggs. DMS? :(

Hey all, interested in trying a batch of rootbeer from extract or syrup... but I haven't been able to find anything other than Rainbow's extracts in Canada. Does anyone know of a source for Sprecher syrup or the extracts made by Gnome in Canada? I'm struggling heavily. Thanks! TG
