    Decided to make my single tier brew stand...

    so I took this : (72 feet of 2x2x.25 tube steel) and made this so far : still loads more to go, like mounting the 3 blichmann burners, the two March pumps, plate chiller, gas, and RO system...

    RO water for mash?

    Can I use RO water for the mash and sparge or should I turn off my water softner and take water from the tap? My water ph is 8..

    Is it when you are sparging into the kettle pre-boil or post boil?

    First AG.. worried about efficiency

    Taking the plunge...

    Today I received my all-grain equipment and I am hoping to starting brewing in the next few weeks... I still need to build a poor-mans 3 tier system... :). The equipment is 2 10 gallon rubbermaid coolers...

    Is Ph important for extract brewing?

    How critical is the water Ph when doing an extract kit? I know for all grain the Ph of the mash is very important.

    Beer Filtration apparatus

    This is my frankenstein beer filtration unit. 5 Micron then .5 Micron. Normal operation and emptying operation so I don't waste beer.

    My loving wife purchased an 8 week beginners brewing class for me for Christmas! That is a total of 6 cases of beer... Then on to All grain classes...

    New Brewer who is hooked for life

    Hello everyone, I am new to home brewing (about 2 months) and I have a few brews underneath me now (Red Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Light Ale and a Hefe). I must say that I love to brew my own beer and look forward to next year starting all grain. :D
