    Using Rye - Cook it first?

    I read in Randy Mosher's Radical Brewing that he recommends cooking or boiling the rye before using it in a mash. I just made a beer with about 20% rye and i just crushed it and threw it right in. The sparge stuck once or twice, but no huge problems. Why would you cook or boil the rye...

    CO2 tank on Craigslist in Queens, NY - $35

    Brews Brothers at KEDCO...been there?

    Brews Brothers at KEDCO in Farmindale, Long Island, NY I'm thinking of driving out there this weekend from Brooklyn and was wondering if it was worth the drive. I was hoping to pick up a few brews worth of grain to save myself from shipping. Any reviews would be much appreciated. Thanks!
