    Cider with S-04

    First AG completed

    Just got my first AG batch (cream ale) to the fermenter. Came up a bit short on my post volume boil at around 4.5 gallons. I calculated my efficiency to roughly 65%, i susoect this is mostly because my preboil volume was short about 3/4 of a gal. Does this make sense? My mash temp was also two...

    Pulled my first glass of beer (I use this term loosely) off my keg

    First off happy 4th to all, I pulled my first glass from my keg this afternoon - it wasn't fully carbed but I couldn't wait any longer. To my surprise it looked like mud... It's a hefeweizen so I was expecting to see some yeast suspension but this looked more like trub than beer. I'm guessing...

    Mounting air manifold in kegeratoe

    I just put together a kegerator using a traditional sized fridge. I have a single manifold reg that feeds a two-way manifold. It would be nice to mount the manifold somewhere inside but the plastic seems too thin to hold the weight of the manifold adn tubing. Anyone have any suggestions?
