    ran out of propane

    So lets say at around 30 min of a 50 min boil you started to run low. By 43 min it was dead never came down past 190. Thinking im ok but what is the real issue with this. It was a stout with no adds other then in the beginning

    So I opened up my week old chocolate vanilla stout that I dumped on a pale ale yeast cake and found this. Is it just crust? Thats what I think but who knows. Gonna put it in a carboy to clear.

    Is there a way to bottle to a growler from a party pig and still retain some carb. I am gravity pooring an ale to mimic a cask set up but I also want to hand out some. Thanks

    Flavor there then gone

    So my pumpkin Ale had taste last week and now it's gone. When I bottled it I added more spices to kick it up. I bottled in 22 Oz bottles. It seems the bigger bottles are hit and miss. Now it's just a little pumpkin taste, starch taste, And that's all. In the bottle 3weeks.

    Loading a beersmith file to beersmith mobile

    how on earth do you take a beersmith file and put it into beersmith mobile? or is there no way. just to clear it up i downloaded a beersmith file from here. i dont have the desktop version because i have the mobile one, iphone. when i go to open it on my iphone it wants to use dropbox. thanks

    Hefe a wee bit harsh.

    so I made a Hefe drone the recipe page. I had no zest peeler so I scraped the zest off the pith. now after conditioning its a bit sour and harsh. although I can drink it I was thinking of ways to sweeten it in the glass. maybe some orange in he glass at serving? what do u think.

    Yeast on counter for 2 days

    ok I was going to make a yeast starter, first one, from a harvested cake. I put it on the counter fri night to warm it up to use sat afternoon. well, a bad reaction sent me to the Er for 6 hours. now being sun, brew day, can I just pitch this with no starter made? it's going into a pumpkin ale...

    Uh Oh! i think

    ok this is my first time I used a carboy to ferment so I don't know if this looks right. I used danstar Munich. I rehydrated as per the instructions and pitched at 70 degrees. looks like a lot of dead yeast in the bottom. this after 8 hours at 68-70 degrees. what do ya think?

    i want to cask into either the mini kegs or the plastic 1 gallon cubes on northern brewer. my question is if i only want to due half the batch or 2 gallon cube and 3 gallon bottle, how would i figure out the carbonation, or should i do a 10g batch, although its the first time with this recipe...
