    no foam break

    The last time I brewed and today, my foam never ready broke, even with very heavy boil under foam. Any ideas? nothing really changed in how I brew. Same equip, same crusher.

    Bottle Question for a Lager

    Lager yeast starter size

    I am making my first lager on St. Pats day. A pilsner. If I am making 10 gallons, how big of a starter should I make? I have a 2 liter flask. How much DME should I put in? Using WL Pilsner yeast. Thanks.

    bottle bucket (food grade) to hold wort?

    If I am juggling pots, can I use a food grade bucket to hold my wort as it comes out of the mash?

    I have an Imp IPA at 10% and am bottling. How much priming sugar. It is in a secondary now, so not a ton of yeast. ???

    cleaning blow tubes

    My blow tubes seem to have a coating inside after I cleaned them. They seem 98% clean. If I soak them in star-san for a while, should they be ok? I am afraid of foam flowing back into my carboy at some point in bringing something from the tube residue back into the carboy? should I worry?

    How much priming sugar for 5 galllons at 69* to bottle condition/corbonate. Calculator I use seems very low, only 1 oz of priming sugar - dextrose. Thanks.

    copper wire to hold hop bag to dry hop

    I'm 99% sure I can use copper wire to hold my hop bag on the bottom or at least fully submerged, in my secondary to dry hop, right?
