    Yeast from a brewery

    I have a batch that is not kicking off. We brewed it on Sunday and pitched a yeast cake at about 4pm. My choices are to buy yeast from the brew supply store on Tuesday or collect yeast from the blowoff tube at a brewery today. Any thoughts?

    Tri-Clamp heatsticks

    We finally finished our heatsticks and used them for the first time last weekend. We built one 120v 2000w, and one 240v 5500w. The 120v is just powered on/off with an inline switch. The 5500w is controlled with an Auber PID an SSR. The most difficult part was getting the half couplers...

    Simple hood

    Here is a hood we pit up on this weekend and it worked pretty well. Aluminum water bearer drip pan with 7" flashing riveted inside. 250cfm inline duct fan. Adjustable shelf brackets. This worked good enough for us using electric, but would not have been enough air flow for propane I think.

    Internet searches?

    Anyone use something other than Google? I ask because I pay a service to advertise on "all" the search engines for our business. It seems like wasted money if everyone is using Google. Thanks for your input.
