    Reusing infected carboys?

    Hi. So I have a 6.5 gallon carboy that was infected maybe 6 months ago with lactobacillus. I bleached it real well after that and its just been sitting unused ever since. Do I run a risk of infecting my next batch of beer by using this carboy? It should be fine if I just clean it real well...

    I have been using the tastybrew.com calculator but I don't think it takes into consideration that I won't be boiling the LME with the hops. The hops are only going to be boiled with the steepings of a 1/2 lb of Carapils since I am adding the 7 lb of LME post-boil. How much hops would I need to...

    Yeast smells like vomit?

    I just rehydrated 11 grams of Danstar Windsor Dry Yeast and it smells just like vomit. Is this normal, or do I have bad yeast?
