    Late Extract/Whirlpool IPA

Howdy folks- After a long, long hiatus from brewing (and formulating my own recipes), I'm fixin on trying my hand again. Can y'all take a look and see how this looks? 3 Gallon Batch (cuz that's what I like to brew on) 1lb Light LME (60Min) 5lb Light LME (10Min) 1oz. Mosaic (60Min)...

    Not new, per se'.

Howdy Y'all! It's been a while, but after a multi-year brewing hiatus, I'm back!! I have a smaller place now (read: far less brewing capacity), and did my first 1 gallon BIAB batch this past weekend. I'm stoked to see how it turns out, but since it's a Monster Brew 1gallon 'kit' with no...

    Cream Recipe Critique

Hey Everyone- I'm looking at swinging by the LHBS later today for some beermakin' ingredients, and i'm wanting to do a Cream Ale. Just poking around, I've seen that 6-row helps out converting some of the adjuncts, and thought I'd try out the following for a 5.5 gal batch. 5lbs 2-Row 5lbs...

    Breckenridge Avalanche

So! I've scoured the forums to see anyone has made a clone of this, but to little (or no) avail. There was a clone of it in BYO's 150 clones a few years back, but I haven't made it. Has anyone either made this clone, or is there a clone out there that anyone's had good success with...

    India Pale Ale-Critique please!

So! I'm looking to brew my first original IPA and have done kits with Columbus and Cascade in the past (turned out just lovely), but never made one of my own. Can anyone take a look at this and let me know how it sounds? I'm shooting for a proper Northwest style IPA. BeerSmith Recipe...

    Missed OG by 20 points?

Hey Howdy- So a while back in this thread I posted about a wit that I wanted to brew, and I finally came up with a recipe I liked and brewed it. Here's the recipe: Ingredients: ------------ Amount Item Type % or IBU 1.00 lb Rice Hulls (0.0 SRM) Adjunct 9.5 % 4.50 lb Pale Malt (2 Row)...

    Holy Awesome!

So, just finished brewing the AHS 20th Anniversary IPA, and gotta say, what a brewday! OG was Spot on @72% Efficiency. Weather is sweet and the Rockies are getting ready to take the lead on opening day. Gotta say, life. Is. Awesome. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I took the day off.

    Interesting Brewnight.

So! Last night I brewed AHS's Belgian White, and the whole thing went well, except my gravity was over by about 5 points... not super concerned though as I followed the instructions, and sanitation was, as always, key. After I temped my wort before pitching the yeast, I dropped my...

    YESSS! First batch since april!

So i've got my first batch of beer in 11 months in the fermenter. It's a Coopers kit, and hands down the easiest batch of beer I've made, but it's beer! GREAT to be back!

    Yet *another* coopers kit questions

So! I've read dozens of different coopers kit posts, and they all tend to answer bits of my questions, but I still have to throw out my own questions. I've bounced around with extract, mini-mash, and AG set ups, so I have a general knowledge of beermaking, but have been out of the game about...
