    All Grain Help

Hi guys, I have tried my second all grain and I can see there is a lot I don't know. The first attempt was a brew in a bag, still in the primary, but no probems noted, other that it was pretty messy to do in the kitchen. My attempt last night was with a converted round gott 5 gallon cooler...

    Yeast and Settling differences??

Hi guys, I generally do extract brewing with specialty grains to brew IPA and Red Ales, and I have used different dry and liquid yeast strains. I have been getting good results with Nottingham Danask but for the last few batches I have used Safale 04 and while still getting good tasting beer...

    Record Hangover

Just saw this on the news, apparently 60 pints in 4 days is just a wee bit over the limit for this guy. :drunk: Rick http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,298698,00.html

    Sticky Taps

On my home-made Kegerator, (sorry no pics), my taps get sticky to the point that I feel like I am gonna pull the tap off the wall to get a glass of brew. I have heard of this before, I guess with the non-forward sealing faucets a drop of brew remains and crystallizes making a sticky point. I...

    Moonshine?

Visiting in Oklahoma, and had a chance to tour a "factory" where one of my high school buddies makes moonshine. Brewing techniques are similar but carried a step further, distillation. Doesn't have to worry too much about getting odd tastes and flavoring, just get those little yeasties making...

    Cleaning spigots and lines

I am sure it has been posted, but my search came up with nothing, probably operator error. My spigots are sticking on my home-made kegerator. I saw some kits on EBay but I figured i should get the straight scoop first. Ok, so the spigots need cleaned, damn they are hard to get off!. What...

    Shaking it up?

What about stirring or shaking the mix halfway through the primary fermentation cycle? I notice there is a lot gunk in the bottom after the first week in the primary. Is there any unreacted sugars there that is not being utilized? Yeah, I know "cheap bastard", but I already lose 1/2 gallon...

    Impotent??

Put together an IPA yesterday, and no bubbles after 24 hours. I am using the White Labs London Ale brand yeast. I didn't use a starter, just added the yeast after cooling the wort down to 70 f. How long should I wait? Would I just add another batch of yeast? This is just my third batch...
