    All grain Juniper Smoked Malt Rye Beer

    Gone fermentation crazy

    House smells like fresh roasted malt from the malt roasting in the oven. And all around I got stuff fermenting. Got like 4 micro-batches going and one regular(5 gal) batch going. Working on a 2 gal batch. Drinking homebrew, would have loved to have discovered this 20 years ago, it's great.

    Barley not sprouting

    Been over 4 days and still don't see the barley starting to sprout. Have done two batches of Rye with no problem. Is it too cold for barley? About 60-65 in here. Or is it bad seed?

    Hello from Charlotte, NC

    Drinking my first home made brew right now! Got some barley and rye getting ready to make my own malt for my next batch. Used to work with a guy at Adelphia Cable in Rocky Mount who made beer, should have gotten into it then.
