    extremely high og reading!

    I just brewed up a brewcraft American cream ale and got an og of 1.080. Wth? Is that normal? The estimated fg is 1.012. I've never brewed a beer that claimed a potential abv of 10%!!

    When pitching yeast in carboy...

    Do you add right before racking to primary or while already in primary? If the latter, how do you aerate the wort while in the primary? I'm not sure exactly what the best, least messy way to do this would be.

    swmbo getting headaches from my brews?

    What could be causing this? I usually ferment at 70 degrees and am beginning to think that it is too high. She says she's gotten headaches with all my beers, 4 total so far! Eek! They've all exibited somewhat of a cidery smell and taste, less when I ferment a bit lower. Help!

    Where to buy graduated cylinder?

    Where can I acquire one? Which size do I need for hydrometer readings? I've been using the plastic tube that came with my hydrometer, but it leaks bad and I can't get accurate readings;) does anyone have a link to a single one, as all I can find are sets for around 30 dollars which I don't need.

    So I just realized I can't drink 48 plus beers in one night. Nor would I want to! So my question is, when you are drinking your beers, do you wash them out and store them so that once they're all drank you can wash them all together? Wash each one right after drinking?
