    Saison using wine yeast

I wasn't really a fan of saison beer until I tasted the Brasserie Charlevoix Dominus Vobiscum Saison. What I really liked in this beer is it's a refreshing beer with fruit aroma and flavor and without any spice. So this weekend, I read the book Farmhouses Ales (...) by Phil Markowski...

Maple Sugar for maple flavored beer

Does anyone ever tried using maple sugar instead of maple syrup for making maple flavored beer? My maple products supplier suggested me to use maple sugar because it was least costly than syrup. 1 uk gallon of syrup is around 45$ and 1 kg of sugar is around 15-20$. The sugar is syrup...

    Cold Conditioning question

I want to cold condition a beer before kegging it. I don't have any spare room in my refrigerator for my carboy. So I'm thinking about putting my carboy outside. The temperature is around -6°C to -2°C [20F to 30F] by night. Will it be too cold so the beer will freeze? If the beer freeze...
