    Help with budget contoller

I am trying to move from my current BIAB setup in a keggle with propane outside to a simple electric setup in my basement, and would appreciate some advice. I am working with a very limited budget, but I also have very few needs. I want to go 240v using my dryer hookup, and I have no plans for...

    3 Week Primary?

I want to put on my wine kit and the instructions call for approx a 1 week primary fermentation then rack to secondary (ballpark). I am going away for 3 weeks, and was wondering if i could leave in primary for 3 weeks until i come back? I'd like to have it ready for Christmas time, so i want to...

    Keggle Complete

Got my keggle all ready to roll tomorrow for its inaugural brew. Big thanks to Bobby M for his bulkhead and stainless diptube...looks great and no leaks. Plus it sucks out all but maybe 2 oz of liquid. BIAB Oatmeal stout yum yum. Cant wait to polish it up :)

    Efficiency right?

So I did my first all grain last weekend, on the stove in a split boil, and it went great. Fermentation took off within 5-6 hrs and went great guns from there. I did EdWorts Haus Pale Ale (8lbs 2row, 2lbs vienna). I collected 6.5 gallons preboil with a gravity of 1.050. I ended with 5.25...

So I'll be starting my first all grain batch as soon as my grains arrive, but i have a question or two for those who know.... I built my mash tun today from a 48 qt coleman cooler, i used the braid method as it was the cheapest and easiest to start with...tested for leaks and all good. I have...

    Pumpkin ale from kit

I just got a Coopers English Bitter and I'm going to slap it together this weekend, but I was wondering if I could possibly make it a bastardized pumpkin ale by adding roasted canned pumpkin and the spices to the primary. I am in the process of getting equipment (and money) so I can step up to...

    Moving to Partial Mash

Hi all, I've been creeping these forums for months just trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible, and I've learned a lot. All of my beers so far have been extract brews (no-boil Coopers kits) but I want to start moving up the scale and getting a little more control over the beers I make...
