    Saison Bucket 7 Saison

Tank 7 (clone-ish) I say clone-ish simply because they remove their house belgium strain of yeast and use champagne yeast to bottle. I've also changed it to a single infusion as I couldn't detect the difference between the multiple infusions version I made and the single infusion posted...

Found Citra and Simcoe in a strange location in Chicago

I was at Archer Liquors (5996 S. Archer Chicago, IL 60638), they have a nice selection of craft brews and sell single bottles. They also have a small area for homebrew supplies (dry yeast, idophor, air locks, wine/beer bottles, yeast energizer, crown caps...) and low and behold- several 1oz...

Looking for "New Holland Four Witches" Black Saison recipe

So I recently had this beer and really loved it and would like to make something similar. I tried emailing the brewer and all the info I got was that it is heavily spiced and fermented about 10 degrees warmer than their other beers. I've never had a black saison before so it's hard to compare...

    Bucket 7

Tank 7 (clone-ish) I enjoy Tank 7 and contacted the brewery with my recipe hoping for some more info. To my surprise they responded quickly with percentages and mash schedule so I came up with this recipe.... I am currently in the middle of switching to electric (also have a newborn at home)...

So here I was about this time last year; I made Denny's Rye IPA beer for a family friend's birthday. It turned out great. Well, fast forward to a couple weeks ago..... What did I find next to some aging Belgiums (Beers that is...) a couple bottles of the Rye IPA and a bottle of my Orange...

    Bittering question

I'm a new brewer with several batches under my belt and have recently went to all-grain. That said I understand bitter to aroma differences are dependent on strain and time added to boil. What about bitterness in general, to be more specific front vs back tasting bittering? Is this the result...

    which beer to harvest

So I have harvested yeasts for the last few beers I've made (Oatmeal Stout, Kolsch, Belgium Triple and cream Ale) with good success. It has been quite a bit of fun and even started to create a small yeast bank for freezing. Now I'm making Denny's Wry Smile RIPA and was wondering if there...

    1st labels, Simple but evolving

Been a lurker for a while but am still pretty new at brewing. I needed to make a label but wanted a pretty simple design and I know the logo will evolve over time as it has already from my first super quick batch. Very first one...

    Did I prime right?

Noob here: So a couple friends and I got together to try brewing- We choose a Partial Mash Hefewiezen. The recipe at the LHB store called for us to boil the last bit (think it was half a can) of extract and pour it into the bottling bucket. The guide never said anything about priming and I...
