    Using old ingredients

I have some milled grains that have been in my refrigerator for about a year. They are bagged as they came straight from AHS. Just curious if anyone has experience using old grains. I'm going to brew this IPA in a few days anyway.

    first AG batch

I brewed my first AG today, a blond ale from AHB. I brewed the extract version last Sat for a comparison. I can't believe how easy it was. Start to finish was about 5 1/2 hrs. Thanks to everyone on HBT for the advise and knowledge.

    Late extract addition question

I'm gonna brew my last extract this weekend before going AG. I want to try a late extract addition. What ratio do I use 50/50? Also do I need to change the amount of hops, for utilization? I searched but the answers varied greatly.

    Question about fermcap s

I've been using fermcap with my starters and its awesome. I also used it in a BB with great results, no blow off needed. Now my question is if I add fermcap to the boil do I also need to add it to the BB during fermentation. I assume I won't since it is already in the wort, but just wanted to ask.

    Thanks HBT
