    dead space question

    I put together a new MLT which consists of a rectangular cooler with a CPVC manifold. I filled the cooler almost completely full of hot water. It ran out everything except for about 6 cups. Is this normal or excessive. Any suggestions on how to lower this amount? thanks..

    CPVC manifold question

    So I built my manifold for my MLT out of CPVC. I started cutting slits in the bottom of the CPVC for draining with a hacksaw(PITA). I cant seem to get the slivers of plastic shavings off the inside of the pipe. I've soaked in hot water and used a hot brush with out any luck. Any suggestions?
