    Want to brew 5 to 15 gal batches on the same setup

    So it's time to go from extract to all grain, but there are so many choices... What I really want to do is get a setup that's flexible enough to brew 15 gallon batches when I'm brewing with friends, or 5 when I want to try something new. I've gone from looking at coolers to nice shiny stands...

    Ready to Bottle?

    Have what appears to be a high gravity beer going. Unfortunately, being new at this, I don't have an original gravity reading. Based on the recipe, I heard 1.062 is a good guess. (See recipe and related discussion in my "Too much dry extract" post.)...

    OK, brewing my first batch ever of what was supposed to be a red ale. I took the recipe to the brew shop and the guy there converted my all grain recipe to an extract. The grain recipe called for 6.5 lbs of american pale malt which he converted to 7 lbs of amber DME. Happily brewed away as...
