    update on my brews

    okay, so my pale ale has been sitting in bottles for about a month... still a bit of a sour taste, but ill still drink it. my irish red, however is on day 19 of fermentation, ready to go into bottles tomorow, it is so dark, its hard to tell if it's quite clear enough...

    fermentation over?

    my red ale was bubling like crazy for the first 3 days of fermentation, but now 5 days in it has shown very little action. should i take my fg reading now? should i wait the recommended 7 days? can you leave it in the fermenter for too long?

    sampled first brew, second in primary

    bad news first... i know its only been bottled for a week, but my first brew, a pale ale did not come out as expected... i beleive its due to the virtually undrinkable tap water here in florida. i boiled and chilled most of the water i used, but the beer has a mediciny, almost sour taste to it...
