    Maximum time in a secondary fermenter?

    How long can I leave beer in a secondary fermenter? It's my understanding that it can stay in there for months and be OK. Truth?

    Any tips for inserting barb nuts into 3/16" tubing??

    I can't get these friggin things into the tubing. Ordered the barb nuts from Northern brewer and it said they should fit either 3/16 or 1/4" tubing, but the damn things won't go in! :mad:

    Describe your glass carboy sanitation method.

    I've been using plastic buckets to ferment because I'm terrified of needing to move this filled heavy carboy around when I'm cleaning/sanitizing. My bucket method was to fill all the way to the top with water/cleaner, scrub it out, dump it, rinse, then fill with water/sanitizer and...

    Sanitizing PVC tubes to/from keg?

    Do these need to be sanitized? The line from the CO2 tank to the keg carrying the gas, and the line from the keg to the tap carryng the beer?

    Sanitation Surface

    New to brewing here... Currently I've been using paper towel laid out as the surface to place my sanitized equipment on. Is this OK? What do other folks use?
