    "Sprouted Millet"?

I found this while looking for bulk grains for bread, "Sprouted Millet": http://www.localharvest.org/organic-sprouted-millet-C16858 Not sure if it can be of use for GF beermaking (I'm not celiac or gluten intolerant), but thought I post here in case that it was. Cheers, Garrett

    January Hop Harvest - SoCal

Is it unusual to get hop cones in the middle of January? (When you're in the Northern Hemisphere) I have a Zeus hop that didn't take the hint about going dormant for the season AND and a Tettnang hop. The Zeus has full cones and the Tettnang has them sprouting. Here's a pic of the Zeus's...

    30 gallon plastic fermenter

It's an approximately 30 gallon plastic fermenter that measures 29" H x 17.5" ID (inside diameter). Has a lid with drilled hole for airlock and a threaded bottom port. I haven't used it, but it is not new. I got it with some other stuff, and I thought I would use it for a giant brew... but I...

Fermenting a lager in a Corny?

Has anyone used a corny keg as a fermenting vessel with a lager? I've never made a lager, and I wasn't sure if blow-off is a non-issue since lager yeasts are bottom fermenting. Can I get by with an airlock?

    Giving away old faucets

GONE! I have 3 faucets to give away to anyone who wants them, rather tossing them into a recycling bin. I just bought three new ones on special, so I have no need of them any longer. They come from a kegerator that I am fixing up, and I won't lie to you, the previous owner didn't take very...

    Hello from Los Angeles

Hi everyone! Been brewing since January (extract + specialty grains), and it's turned out pretty good so far. I'm thinking about going all-grain soon too. Just wanted to say hey and that I'm enjoying reading the tips and everything on the forum. Cheers. Garrett
