    bavarian pilsner not fermenting.

    I have tried my first pilsner with a genuine lager yeast. Ive kept my bucket at a constant 59F...ish. After 24 hours nothing! No activity at all. I'm worried I may have added the yeast at too warm a temp (it was no more then 64F). Any other ideas? Thanks

    when to add gelatin?

    I was thiking about adding this to help clear up my lager but am a bit confused as to when I should add it. Presumably the act of clearing the beer is also clearing the yeasties and therefore if I do it before bottling there won't be anything left for carbonation??? Thanks

    So I keep sanitizing things (like 80 bottles), getting interupted by something (like a woman), coming back to my bottles 24 hours later and having to start again.
