    Recomend a digital thermometer

So my last two brew days were stressful as hell. First my dial thermoms wouldn't stay in calibration. Then I bought a nice floating thermom which broke halfway through the brew day. I am tired of the crappy thermoms. Could some one recommend a good digital thermometer? Thanks

    Volume measurements for a keggle

So I want a way to take volume measurements in my keggle. I thought that a dip stick wouldn't be best because of the curved bottom, and it gets hot in there. I was thinking I could take a screwdriver and wack dents into the side for every 1/2 gallon or so. Anybody else have good suggestions?

    Temp Help Fast

So I decided to go back to all grain this weekend. I heated my strike water to warm my MLT and I was waiting for it to cool. Then I thought I better check my thermometer with another. It was off. I grabbed another and it was different still. I no have four themoms in the water and I am...

    Another leaky bulkhead

I am trying to put together a bulkhead on my MLT but it keeps leaking. I fear that the problem is that when I made the MLT I drilled the hole with the idea of doing something like Denny's setup with the drilled stopper in the hole. Now that I am putting the bulkhead in I think that I drilled...

    More disconnect woes

So, in another thread I spun a yarn about getting drunk and putting the out disconnect on the in post. Long story short I yanked it off with my pliers. So I went to the LHBS and got another disconnect so that I might dispense the beer. This morning I went to gas the keg and put the disconnect...

    Red Brass?

So I just went to Oly Supply and got the parts for a bulkhead fitting for my mash tun. The only adapter I could get for a 3/4" nipple to my 1/2" ball valve was a red brass bell. Any reason not to use red brass for a mash tun? It is my understanding that red brass just has more copper in it...

Out disconnect on In post, HELP!

So I kegged my Irish redish beerish thing the other day (it didn't turn out great but it fills a keg). I guess I had had a little too much homebrew cause I checked to make sure I reassembled everything correctly then shoved the out disconnect on the in post. :drunk: I have done this before...

Does DMS go away/Perfect natural lagering

I started my first lager about three weeks ago. It is a Octoberfest OG ~1.043. I had it in the primary for two weeks and racked it last weekend. I smells alot like creamed corn. Will this aroma go away or am I stuck with a corny beer? Perfect natural lagering - In Oly, WA when I started...
