Was thinking about freezing a couple gallon milk jugs full of water, sterilize them and them put them in the wort to chill it like a couple large ice cubes. The caps will remain on and no water would / should get in the wort. Any one ever try or hear about his before. There are few original ideas.

I made a batch of "English Ale" from Black Rock. I followed the instructions and did not boil it. In addition, I added some spices and let it set in the fermenter for 2 weeks. When I moved it to the secondary I added pumpkin to the carboy. Today I looked in it and see a few long slimy strands...

When I move my ale to the secondary, I was thinking about putting in 4 cans of pumpkin. Should I have boiled this in? Am I wrong to think that it will still give the beer a nice flavor? I looked through the stick post and didn't find anything.

I am terrible at acrostics what does this mead? RDWHAHB? Any other widely used acrostics that you could identify would be helpful too.

There it was just bubbling away. I wanted a better whiff of it so I pushed on the top of the fermentor and pushed some bubbles through the air lock, that was 24 hours ago and now...no more bubbles. Was this catastrophic? Did I kill the batch?

I have friends in other lands like Florida, Michigan, Wasington and Singapore. Any hints on mailing beer to them?
