    Hop Schedule for Dubbel

I'm going to be brewing a Dubbel for one of my next batches, after I brew a (hopefully) good pale ale for a nice summer brew. For the Dubbel I have two ounces of hops coming. 1 oz Tettnang pellets 1 oz Saaz Plugs Planning on using the full oz of Tettnang at 60 for the bittering...

    AG Kit Storage

I've got two AG recipes on order, Thanks to Brewmasters Warehouse. My question is is there a recommended time/method for storage of the kits? These will be my first attempts at AG, and while I'll do the first kit rather quickly. I'd rather hold the second kit to give me time to go over my...

    Carbonation/Conditioning Temperature

Just put my thrid batch, a BB Kolsch kit, into bottles last night. Is there a problem with storing the bottles at 55 degrees or so? Will the low temperature inhibit the yeast from providing enough action to carbonate the bottles?

    OK, RDWHAHB, right?

So I'm hopefully fermenting my second batch. AHS Bavarian Dunkelweizen kit, brewing process went OK, little hiccups but nothing that I got panicked about. I have to ferment in the basement, at the request of SWMBO. Unforutnately I didn't realize that the temp down there was about 50 degrees...

    Boil Question

I have a pot large enough for a full boil for a five gallon batch. The stove, however, struggles to heat it up and never really gets to a full boil. For partial mash recipes (AHS Dunkelweizen is next up) is it better to do a weker full boil, or do a partial and have a good rolling boil going?

    OK, I'm in!

My first batch is in the basement, bubbling away after less than 24 hours! It's Austin Homebrew Belgian Wheat Mini Mash Kit. And I was impressed with the instructions and the contents of the kits. So thanks to AHS. I think I need to cool down faster. And I think that a full boil may be...

    Carboy as Primary Fermenter

Is a 5-gallon carboy, with a blow-off tube, large enough for a promary fermenter? Would 6-gallon be better?
