    DIY wort wizard help

I built myself a CFC and made a DIY wort wizard but I obviously did something wrong. I have water flowing through both the racking cane and what is supposed to be the vacuum hose off the wort wizard. I tried hooking the hose up to the WW from both ends and neither worked properly. Any...

    Problem with weldless bulkhead

I bought a couple ss weldless fittings for keggle conversions. I final got the kegs all drilled, but I am having an issue with being able to get the bolts and coupler tight enough on the keg to prevent it from leaking. It is "bottoming out" because of the taper on the threaded bulkhead. Any...

I am in the process of making a keggle and am looking for a stainless pick up tube. Is this what I need: http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=5757 I am not sure because they don't have a picture. I need to attach it to this: http://morebeer.com/product.html?product_id=19793 Or does...

If someone is looking to upgrade...

I found this on craigslist. It is a lot of cash to drop all at once and don't know if it is worth the price, but it does look like a nice, complete setup. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/for/314503373.html

    "Brew Hauler" question

I was thinking of picking up a brew hauler to help lift carboys in and out of my chest freezer. For someone that has one, is it easy to get on and off the carboy? My concern is that once the carboy was in the freezer, it might be difficult to take it on and off and put it on other carboys.

    DIY chiller

Can someone point me to directions on making a wort chiller. I got 50 feet of 3/8in copper tubing. I searched this section but couldn't find anything with details. It looks simple enough, but not sure about fittings needed. Thanks.

    Steam Beer/ CA Common Question

I am making my friends steam beer recipe, but where he used WL CA Ale at low fermentation temps, I wanted to stay true to the style and use WL CA Lager at a temp around 60F. How long should I plan on leaving it in the primary and secondary? I plan on lagering it in a keg after fermentation is...

    Chest Freezer Size

It is time to pick up a chest freezer for fermenting ales, because it is so hot out, and also try some lagers. I already have the temp controller, but wanted to know what is the smallest size freezer I could get away with. Would a 5 cf freezer fit a bucket/carboy and airlock? Could a 7 cf fit 2...

    Nitrogen in a CO2 tank?

Can you put nitrogen, or beer gas (75% NO 25% CO2), in a CO2 tank? Do you need to get a nitrogen regulator or can you use a CO2 regulator?

    Sanyo 4912 at Costco

They are selling them at Costco for $170. This is listed online but not sure if they are available in all locations. Think I may pick one up this weekend. Wanted to give anyone else who was thinking about one a heads up.

    Request for Honey Beer Recipe

I am looking for a recipe for a honey beer. Partial mash and has to be an ale, so I would assume golden/blonde ale. I am not set up for AG or lagers. If anyone is familiar with Rock Bottom beers, they have a good honey beer that I would like to get something close to. Thanks.

    starsan question

I have the starsan that likes to foam a lot. When I use it for the carboy, it seems as though some of the bubbles will not go away. I got it sitting upside down to drain. Will those bubbles hurt anything? Can I pour the beer over it?

    Lagering/Kegerator fridge/freezer suggestions

After the holidays and things slow down, i was going to start looking for a chest freezer. First question, is it a good idea to have it dual function? Use it for lagering and as a kegerator. From what i have read on this site about lagering, you change the temperature over time, over a rather...

    Cleaning out the oxyclean

I used the advice i read on here about using oxyclean to get the labels off of old bottles. I was going to be away for a couple of days so I just let them soak. Now the oxyclean has settled on the bottom of the bottles and it won't rinse out. I used a bottle brush, but it won't get the stuff out...
