    Is Star San a type of bleach?

    A guy told me this and I got sort of confused. We were talking about sanitizing and he brought up sainitizing with bleach. I said i sanitized with star san and then he said star san was a type of bleach. Is this true?

    Is Alumminum safe for a HLT?

    I have heard that alumminum is not a good idea to boil in because it puts aluminum into your beer...but is it ok to use as a HLT? I am making my brew system and don't want to buy a brand new pot if i don't have to :mug:

    Decoction...should I use with porter?

    Some confusion between different types of grain

    Ok so i know there are a couple diferent names for some malts but just tell me if these malts are the same but just called different names by different people. British Pale Malt is the same as Marris Otter? American 2-row is the same as Pale 2-row? Thanks for the help
