extract kolsch seems lighter in color than expected

I brewed a kolsch for the first time(only my 6th brew so far) using an extract kit from Williams. I racked to secondary and just kegged it. All hydro readings were good. It tastes fine to me, not sure what a kolsch tastes like, but this is good to go imho. But in my sample glass it seems darker...

    Holiday Ale or something...

I'm looking for a brew for around the holidays. I have only done about 6 extract kits(watermelon ale, irish red, nut brown, kolsch, honey wheat) and need opinions on a winter brew. I've never really had a winter type ale so I'm kinda in the dark on the subject. Any help would be appreciated.

I was...

My problem is that it seems that the first pour is always foamy but flat. The next few pour ok i guess but it...

    Watermelon Ale from Williams brew..

Hey all, This is my second batch so excuse my noobness and lack of patience. I don't have the exact ingredients to list because the kit only has labels on the bags not a breakdown of measurements. It came with a LME, flavoring hops, a smackpack and a bottle of flavoring. Anyway all went very...

    first brew...Wizards wheat?

Hey everybody, I'm new to brewing and received a homebrewheaven kit(complete with kegging) with Wizards Wheat as a gift from my wife (yeah she rocks). We followed the recipe directions and all seems well. I racked to secondary after a week and keep getting different opinions on how long to let...
