    how cold can the primary get during fermentation?

    It gets really hot in my apartment and my beer has been fermenting (i think but no bubbles in airlock) and I did see it go as high as 77 and it's roughly been somewhere in the 70's throughout. I believe that is too warm so I put it in the fridge and it got it in th 50's so I took it out...

    Sediment on the bottom of my bottles

    Well as i'm sure you guessed this was my first batch I brewed. I tried to follow the 123 rule and I did transfer the primary to a secondary glass carboy. But it has only been a day or two and there is sediment that looks like the DME on the bottom. What did I do wrong? Is the beer drinkable...

    Greetings from WI

    Hello all. Found this forum through google and have been checking out posts lately. I'm a newbie home brewer. Right now my first brew is in it's secondary fermentation in a glass carboy. I'm brewing a clone kit of Bass ale. Can't wait to try my first batch in hopes I didn't screw up too bad.

    Adding water after fermentation?

    Well I have made my first homebrew and have started the secondary fermentation in a carboy. I have noticed I have lost some volume of beer due to evaporation during boiling time (i didn't use a cover) and because I left about .15 gallons or so on the bottem because I just couldn't get all of it...
